My name is Dr. Mary Terese Couture, DO
Dr. Couture brings a wealth of experience in emergency medicine and patient care. She earned dual degrees—a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology—from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign before completing her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2019. She went on to complete an intensive Emergency Medicine residency at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where she was recognized as Trauma Resident of the Year in 2023 for her outstanding clinical skills and leadership.
Dr. Couture has been actively involved in medical research, contributing to multiple publications and conference presentations on critical healthcare topics. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Midwestern University, where she mentors and educates future physicians in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine. A member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society, Dr. Couture is known for her compassionate approach to patient care.
Dr. Couture completed a fellowship at The Vein Specialists, LLC at both the Bloomington and Peru, IL locations with Drs. Bohn, Nielsen and Castillo
